Hello! My name is Teresa, a Canadian Certified Counsellor.
It has always been my personal and professional goal to help others succeed and strive in life! I have learnt about social structures and human interaction through the Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the University of Calgary and advocated for social change as human resources personnel for various organizations and human services within government and non-profit agencies. Over the years, I have realized that people need more than a safe and stable external environment to persevere. We need mental and emotional support as we experience our trials in life. As a first-generation immigrant from Hong Kong, a wife and a mother of three children and a dog, my goal is to support individuals and families through difficulties at work, at home, and in life transitions.
I look forward to connecting with you and understanding your situation through your worldview. I hope to work alongside you while exploring your strengths using biopsychosocial and metatheoretical lenses and co-creating therapeutic strategies through methods from Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
