Registered Psychologist
Shaheena Kassam is a Registered Psychologist with over 8 years of experience supporting children, teens, and families across a range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges. She works with concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, social difficulties, and emotional regulation.
Shaheena provides both counselling and psychological assessment services. Her counselling work draws from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) skills, mindfulness-based strategies, and play-based approaches to create developmentally appropriate and emotionally safe spaces for her clients. She works from a warm, non-judgmental, and flexible stance, always centering the client’s needs.
In addition to therapy, Shaheena offers comprehensive psychoeducational and formal psychological assessments for both children (ages 6–16) and adults (17+). These assessments address learning profiles, cognitive challenges, attention and executive functioning concerns (including ADHD), and mental health-related diagnostic clarity.
Shaheena holds a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta, and a diploma in Child and Youth Care from MacEwan University. She brings a systems-informed, collaborative lens to her work and is committed to supporting her clients in understanding themselves more deeply and building tools for resilience and success.
