Clients describe her as grounded, warm, and clear-eyed in navigating difficult emotional landscapes.

Lauren completed her Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Psychology at the University of Calgary and her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She trained and worked in diverse clinical settings including the Calgary Counselling Centre, Carya (formerly Calgary Family Services), Distress Centre, and the Society for Treatment of Autism.

In addition to her clinical work, Lauren mentors early-career therapists and leads the Indigo team with a focus on relational integrity, ethical care, and emotional sustainability. She is passionate about creating spaces where both clients and clinicians feel safe, supported, and able to grow.

She brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her work, helping clients feel safe as they explore difficult emotions and life challenges.

Elizabeth holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She builds strong therapeutic relationships through empathy and respect, creating an environment where clients can deepen their self-awareness, foster resilience, and pursue meaningful change.

Her approach is collaborative and tailored to each client’s needs, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, and the Gottman Method for couples.

Elizabeth’s areas of focus include anxiety, stress, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship issues, parenting, life transitions, grief and loss, self-esteem, boundaries, and anger. She believes in the power of healing and growth—even through life’s most painful experiences—and is deeply honoured to walk alongside clients on their journey toward change.

Shaheena Kassam, MA, BSc

Registered Psychologist

Shaheena is a Registered Psychologist with over 8 years of experience supporting children, teens, and families through a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges. She works with concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, social difficulties, and emotional regulation.

Shaheena provides both counselling and psychological assessment services. Her counselling work draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, mindfulness-based strategies, and play-based approaches to create developmentally appropriate and emotionally safe spaces for her clients. She works from a warm, non-judgmental, and flexible stance, always centring the client’s needs.

In addition to therapy, Shaheena offers comprehensive psychoeducational and psychological assessments for both children (ages 6–16) and adults (17+). These assessments address learning profiles, cognitive challenges, attention and executive functioning concerns (including ADHD), and mental health-related diagnostic clarity.

Shaheena holds a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta, and a diploma in Child and Youth Care from MacEwan University. She brings a systems-informed, collaborative lens to her work and is committed to supporting her clients in understanding themselves more deeply and building tools for resilience and success.

Illisha Patterson, MA, BA

Registered Psychologist

Illisha is a Registered Psychologist in Alberta who believes that healing happens through connection: feeling accepted, seen, and truly heard. Her first goal is to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to explore whatever is weighing on their mind or heart.

She works with children, teens, and adults navigating a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioural concerns. This includes support for trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, parenting stress, chronic illness and pain, as well as workplace, family, and relationship difficulties.

Illisha is especially passionate about helping people recognize and celebrate their strengths, even in the midst of struggle. Whether clients are working through trauma or feeling stuck in life’s challenges, she walks alongside them with curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for their unique story.

She also has experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She views neurodiversity as a natural and valuable expression of human variation—not a deficit to be corrected.

Her approach is grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies. She often integrates meditation, grounding practices, and body awareness to support emotional regulation, resilience, and self-connection.

Clients describe Illisha as warm, calm, and attentive, often sharing that they feel truly heard in their work with her. She holds a Master of Arts in Psychology and has been fully registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists since 2019.

Celeste Tio, MA, BA

Registered Provisional Psychologist

Celeste is a Registered Provisional Psychologist at Indigo Psychology. With a background in alternative health and wellness, she brings a holistic perspective to her work, blending evidence-based therapy with a deep understanding of mind-body connection. Her passion lies in supporting adults who feel stuck, isolated, or overwhelmed, helping them rediscover their strength, resilience, and capacity for growth.

Her clinical focus centres on neurodiversity and trauma recovery, particularly for those who have felt misunderstood or unheard in their healing journey. She knows how deeply past wounds and systemic barriers can shape lives and is committed to creating a space where clients feel seen, valued, and empowered to move forward in ways that align with their goals.

Her approach is warm, collaborative, and flexible, drawing from modalities like EMDR (for trauma reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centred Therapy. She blends these methods in a way that feels organic and responsive to each client—because therapy should never be one-size-fits-all.

In addition to therapy, Celeste offers comprehensive psychological assessments for both children and adults, with a special interest in neurodiversity (ADHD, autism, and learning differences). She enjoys the assessment process—it is like putting together a puzzle that highlights strengths, challenges, and pathways for support.

Beyond her clinical work, Celeste is dedicated to creating opportunities for connection for herself, her circle, and her greater community. She believes connection is the antidote to many psychological difficulties, and at the very least, a good place to start.

She draws from evidence-based approaches including culturally adapted Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CaCBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and mindfulness-based practices to support clients with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, stress, and identity-related concerns.

As someone who identifies as a second-generation immigrant, Shrandeep brings both personal and professional insight into the complexities of navigating cultural expectations, shifting values, and belonging.
